Bookmark Garden

Bookmark Garden started as a weekend side project. As a designer I save a lot of inspiration on Twitter, and after two years I had a backlog of bookmarks I could no longer recall or make sense of. I built Bookmark Garden to fix that.

It is a simple Chrome extension that lets you save inspirations directly from X. Everything stays local, no servers, completely private. Only you can access it.

Solo founder, designer, and engineer. I designed and built the extension end to end, handled the Chrome Web Store submission, and have been iterating based on feedback from early users.

Twitter's native bookmark experience is a flat, unorganised list. There is no way to filter by date, no way to surface what you saved last year, and no way to share a curated set with someone else. For designers who rely on saved content for inspiration, that is a real gap.

The core feature is local saving with a date-aware sorting system. You can sort by oldest or newest, and filter by month and year. That granularity makes it easy to go back to a specific period and see exactly what you were looking at.

An export feature lets you share your bookmarks with others. That was not the original plan, but I think it could become a core use case as the tool grows. Teams sharing bookmark collections as mood boards is something I can see happening naturally, and it is a direction I am keeping in mind as I work on the next version.

I shared early builds with other designers and the feedback has been strong. Version one is live and I am actively working on version two based on what people have told me.
